fun fact you may not know about me:

my mum is German.
And not 1/16th,
but 100%-real-life-from-Germany-German.

As a result of that,
I have a deep love for both German foods and the Deutsches Fussball-Bund's
Deutsche Fußballnationalmannschaft der Frauen.

Try to say it. I dare you.

I don't know if you are a watcher of international soccer 
(whoever just made the Beckham joke, get out)
 but these women are about as badass as it gets. 

They hold not one, not three, but EIGHT World Cup titles.
EIGHT.

In comparison, 
the US has two. 
Two.

So when my Oma
 (that's highly technical German for "grandmother") 
asked if I wanted a team jersey shirt thing, I said "JA UND JAWOHL" 
(more v. complicated German for you).

Hence, my new favorite vaguely sports related outfit.  

Sie sollten alle lernen Deutsch zu sprechen und Fußball zu spielen.

Shoes? What shoes?

What a revelation: long overalls.

You'd have thought I'd have caught up to them before hand,

 but alas,  my heart is with my knees, 

which demand to be seen.

They were perfect for adventuring in my backyard though. 

We're lucky enough to have a completely mental yard 

which includes everything from a chicken coop to a swingy hammock to a 

gigantic kiwi plant that has yet to yield any actual kiwi.

Perfect place for pretending you can do yoga.

ah, prom. 

What a wonderful night. 

You recreate Charlies Angels poses with all of your girlfriends.

 (minus one, who is across a rather large pond)

You get to eat hamburgers + french fries,

and make faces out the drive thru window 

at your favorite eating establishment.

You go watch a movie that involves Don Draper, India,

 and a rather unlikely plotline.

You fit six people in a photo booth,

 then decide polaroids are better anyways.

You discover that when it comes to air hockey, 

your tiniest friend is much more ferocious than her size and demeanor had led you to believe.

You defend your title as reigning Dance Dance Revolution queen in very high heels.

..and you do it all in a dress you found stuffed on the back of the rack in your thrift store 

that fit you perfectly from the very beginning.

My neighbors roses have bloomed, 

and so I'm once again exploiting their gardening talents for the sake of my photos. 

They don't actually know this so let's keep it between you, me, and the internet, okay?

It's actually too hot already for this outfit, 

which is depressing.

calm down.

However, it is never too hot for these shoes, which are my absolutely favorites.

Look mum, I can run in them!

I also wanted to apologize for my lack of regular posting,

 I am discovering that writing decent posts 

and graduating a year early from highschool

 aren't exactly complimentary activities.

But graduation is in a week 

and then that whole pesky problem of my primary education is out of the way,

 and we can focus on what is truly important: 

outfit posts.

your lips are moving, but you aren't making any noise

  I have my headphones on, why are you talking 

I love finding new music.

Y'all ask me rather often what exactly I'm listening to on my golden earmuffs,

and I like making lists, 

soooooo

I've decided to start making playlists every month with 

the songs + artists I'm listening to on repeat.

 This month is a bit all over the place.

The recent round of music festivals has definitely influenced me a bit,

 but I mean, Jolene came out in 1974, 

so I haven't really got an excuse for that.

I am newly obsessed with Ella Eyre. Her hair alone was enough to convert me,

 but her voice reminds me a bit of Amy + Adele, so gold stars all around. 

Calvin Harris literally called his summer smash single Summer,

 and if that isn't positive thinking in action, I don't know what is.

Iggy. IgGY. IGGY.

You done good girl.

Mostly I'm waiting for summer summer to arrive, 

school to be finished, 

and uggs to disappear for eternity.
